Dr. Tan Khang Lin

Founder & DSS General Dentist

Dr. Tan Khang Lin is the founder of KL Tan Dental Surgery in Alor Setar and a dentist with a special interest in digital and aesthetic dentistry. He graduated from the National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 2010, before being appointed to the Orthodontic Department within the Ministry of Health, Malaysia, where he honed his skills in tooth alignment and bite correction.

In 2018, Dr. Tan achieved certification as an Invisalign Provider, marking the beginning of a focused journey in clear aligner therapy. That same year, he completed the Comprehensive Implant Course by Osstem and won first place in the #MY3MSMILES Competition organised by 3M Malaysia, a recognition of his clinical skill and meticulous attention to detail.

Today, Dr. Tan manages a growing portfolio of over 61 Invisalign patients in Alor Setar, guiding each one personally through their smile transformation journey. Since acquiring the iTero 3D scanner in March 2022, he has completed over 4,100+ digital scans, to deliver faster, more accurate treatments, especially in restorative dentistry and custom dentures via 3D printing.

Dr. Tan is driven by a single ambition: to embrace the future and digitalise dentistry in every possible way for the benefit of his patients. He believes that technology should never replace the human connection but should instead enhance it, giving patients clearer insights, more comfortable procedures, and results they can see before treatment even begins.

Beyond the clinic, Dr. Tan stays current with the latest advancements in aesthetic and restorative dentistry through continuous education.
